Arizona artist Barbara Duzan patterns this painted pony after the Navaho weavers who are known for their beautiful tradition of preserving their native history by weaving stories into baskets and rugs. Two Native American myths are represented, "Man Placing the Stars," a Navajo creation myth, on one side, and "Sun's Journey through the Sky" on the other.
